2010 Plant Metabolism Conference, June 24 - 28, 2010 PDF Print E-mail

      The 2nd Banff Conference on Plant Metabolism is now only two months away! Below are a few announcements and reminders.
 

The abstract deadline has been extended until May 2, 2010. The selection of contributed oral presentations will begin immediately after that date.
 

This is also a reminder that the early registration deadline is April 25, 2010. After that date the cost of registration will increase to the non-discounted rate.

    The 2nd Banff Conference on Plant Metabolism will be held at the Banff Centre in Banff, Alberta, Canada from June 24 - 28, 2010. This international conference will bring together an international group of scientists working in diverse areas of plant metabolism.  The Banff 2010 scientific program will include sessions on Systems biology, plant lipids, transporters, carbohydrates & cell walls, terpene diversity and hormone biosynthesis.

      Additional information regarding the conference and registration will be available.  Watch this space for further details.

    Please note the complete list of invited plenary speakers, and that the Scientific Organizing Committee will be selecting an additional 36 speakers to deliver short talks based on contributed abstracts.

    The deadline for submission of abstracts is April 25, 2010.

    The generosity of several external sponsors has recently created the opportunity to support the participation of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in the meeting. The conference organizers are please to make available 15 travel bursaries each valued at $500 (CDN).     The town of Banff is located in the heart of the spectacular Canadian Rocky Mountains and, as such, offers unparalleled panoramic views and an opportunity to enjoy a wide range of outdoor recreational activities. Conference participants can share their room at the Banff Centre with guests (spouses and children) free-of-change. Guests need only to purchase meal vouchers. Attendees should also note that they have the option to stay at the Banff Centre before and after the conference at preferred rates.
